No great city says let’s have more cars

Can Auckland get #onecarless? NZ Herald printed an article by founder, Victoria Carter, on how solutions for big city congestion won’t be just big ticket items like trains or roads but lots of little ideas that together make a difference.

Swapping out all our cars for electric vehicles won’t fix congestion either. The challenge for civic leaders and governments is how to encourage people to drive less and own fewer cars. If Sydney, Melbourne, New York and London can do it we can too. Not every family member has to own a car!

Cars are ruining productivity but they are also impacting on us socially and environmentally, those of you who car share are making a big difference.  Thank you
